Who can I refer?

You can refer any law firm or real-estate focused organization in good standing with the applicable provincial regulation authority.

What qualifies as a referral?

To qualify, an eligible firm must be new to Closer and open 5 paid files.

Do referrals expire?

Yes, your referral must open 5 paid Closer files within 90 days of your form submission to qualify.

How long will it take to receive my reward?

We’ll send you your prepaid gift card within 10 business days of confirming an eligible referral.

Is there a maximum number of referrals I can make?

No, you can refer as many new firms as you’d like!

What happens if someone else refers the same firm?

If someone else refers the same firm within the 90 day eligibility window, the referral gift will go to the first to submit.

Yes, as Sync has been designed specifically for Closer, an active account is required to enjoy the many benefits of the integration.

No, Closer customers can receive digital mortgage instructions free of charge through Sync.

When you enroll to Sync, we'll provide you with clear instructions on how to move your mortgage processing over to Sync.

Simply contact the Assyst Real Estate team online here (https://login.assystrealestate.com/onboarding) to re-enroll. There is no need to contact lenders individually.

Although the initial launch of Sync will be focused primarily on processing new instructions, we expect to release support for requesting payout statements in the near future.

Sync can digitize and processes mortgages for RBC, BMO, CIBC, Simplii, National Bank, Libro, Meridian, Alterna, Nesto, and Motus

While Sync will solely support Assyst-based lenders upon initial launch, we do plan to add support for additional lenders in the near future.

After receipt by our team, your mortgage instructions will be transformed to a digital payload in the back end of Sync. For added quality assurance, our mortgage and subject matter experts will confirm the accuracy of your mortgage documents before sending them to your inbox. This entire process takes about 15 minutes.

We have 100+ published lender forms available within Sync, which will be autofilled based on data within your file.

Yes, both lawyers & clerks can use Sync to upload mortgage instructions and complete lender forms. Lawyers must complete the onboarding steps (under profile settings > integrations) to setup their connection with Sync.

Is Closer free to get started?

Yes! We’re currently providing 3 free files (valued at over $200) to each firm to provide you and your colleagues ample space to get comfortable with Closer and ensure it’s the right fit for you, risk free.

How do I get going?

Hit the "start free" button on the top of the page and register for an account; it takes 30 seconds! Once you’re in Closer, you can invite as many colleagues as you’d like to join your account.

Does everyone need a Closer account to collaborate on files?

To maximise your experience in Closer, it’s recommended that unique accounts be created for both lawyers and clerks in your firm. Some integrations, such as those with FCT, also require a lawyer account to be created to store their credentials.

What happens when we’ve used up our free files?

Simply add a preferred credit card or bank account via our billing portal, which can be accessed in Business Settings. Once you open your first paid files, we’ll process payment automatically using this preferred method of payment.

How does billing work?

Files are billed based on opening date and payments are processed weekly every Friday. An invoice and corresponding receipt will be sent to your designated billing contact each week.

What payment methods are accepted?

Our standard auto-pay method supports credit cards and ACH. If preferred, you may also periodically preload your account balance via cheque. Please contact us to coordinate.

How will charges show on my credit card or bank statement?

Automatic payments taken from your preferred payment method will show up as charges from “LawLabs Inc.” on your statement.

Can we preload our account like we do with Teraview?

Yes, if you would like to preload your account on a periodic basis in a similar fashion to that of your Teraview account, please contact us to arrange.

How does the 20% prepay promotion work?
