Closer uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to extract data from your uploaded documents and input it into the correct Closer fields.

Which documents can AI auto-extraction process?

Currently, APS, commission statements, and Teraview instruments are supported. We plan to include more documents in the near future.

How accurate is the data extraction?

Approximately 95%. All extracted details can be easily verified through the split-screen document view on the APS and commissions pages.

Can it pick up changes and strikethroughs?

Yes, it can accurately read and extract the correct details even after changes and strikethroughs are made.

Can it handle documents that have been scanned several times?

Yes, data extraction will still work on documents scanned several times. Its advanced AI technology compensates for reduced quality to maintain a high accuracy rate.

How long does it take to process a document?

Your data will be extracted in less than 15 seconds, and we’re working to make it even faster!

Do I need to enter anything manually?

All fields that previously required manual entry for APS, commission statements, and Teraview instruments will now auto-fill with extracted data, as long as the details are in your uploaded document.

Is this technology compatible with custom APSs?

While our model will do its best to process your custom APS, we can’t guarantee the same level of accuracy as with standard form documents.

Yes, as Sync has been designed specifically for Closer, an active account is required to enjoy the many benefits of the integration.

No, Closer customers can receive digital mortgage instructions free of charge through Sync.

When you enroll to Sync, we'll provide you with clear instructions on how to move your mortgage processing over to Sync.

Simply contact the Assyst Real Estate team online here (https://login.assystrealestate.com/onboarding) to re-enroll. There is no need to contact lenders individually.

Although the initial launch of Sync will be focused primarily on processing new instructions, we expect to release support for requesting payout statements in the near future.

Sync can digitize and processes mortgages for RBC, BMO, CIBC, Simplii, National Bank, Libro, Meridian, Alterna, Nesto, and Motus

While Sync will solely support Assyst-based lenders upon initial launch, we do plan to add support for additional lenders in the near future.

Yes, both lawyers & clerks can use Sync to upload mortgage instructions and complete lender forms. Lawyers must complete the onboarding steps (under profile settings > integrations) to setup their connection with Sync.
